COVID-19 Facility Use Protocols
Health Assessments: Participants, coaches, spectators, and officials must conduct daily symptom checks prior to any in facility activity. This self-assessment must be done prior to each event/rental. Anyone experiencing symptoms must not attend the event/rental. Do not let your participant attend if their temperature is above 99.6 degrees or are not feeling well- headache, cough, sore throat, nausea, loss of smell/ taste, chills, shortness of breath, aches or fatigue.
Face Coverings: Face coverings are required for athletes when entering & leaving the playing areas. Face coverings will not be required for athletes during activity. ALL SPECTATORS, STAFF, & COACHES SHALL WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE FACILITY.
Facility Markings: Please follow specific facility signage when in the facility to provide the safest environment for all participants, spectators & staff, Markings will be different in each facility.
Social Distancing: All individuals should maintain 6ft distancing from other individuals when not actively participating.
Spectators (Practices/Classes): Non-participants will not be permitted to stay to watch activities unless necessary. One parent will still be permitted for youth participants to enter/exit the facility.
Spectators (Games): One spectator per participant will be allowed during official games. We understand that all family situations are different but we are asking families to do their part to limit anyone who is not necessary from attending.
Arrival to Facility: Participants, Spectators, and Coaches will NOT be allowed to enter the facility more than 10 minutes before the start of their activity/rental. This protocol is in place to prevent large gatherings. Participants should enter the facility ready to play.
Daily Cleaning: Our staff will continue our daily cleaning procedures, and will incorporate additional disinfecting of surfaces and high touch areas. Our staff will be continuously disinfecting equipment as it is used to maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
Sanitation Stations: Disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes will be available around the facility for athletes use before, after & during activities.
Drinking Fountains Closed: Drinking fountains will be closed. Please bring water bottles for use during your activities.
Entrance & Exit: Please follow signs in the facility for entering & exiting procedures.

RENTAL NOTES (EAST REC. HAS NO AIR CONDITION)

*** Check your rental date, time, location to make sure there is no discrepancy in your reservation ***

1. Alcoholic beverages and smoking is prohibited in all facilities.
2. All groups must vacate facility by their designated time.
3. There must be at least one (1) adult per every fifteen (15) youths
4. Facility must be non-profit in nature. No solicitation, sales or fees may be charged on park property.
5. When damage or loss of property occurs, the Parks and Recreation Department will make the necessary repair and bill the individual or organization for materials and labor.
6. Fees are non-refundable without at least a tweny-four (24) hour notice through the main office 440-326-1500.
7. Food and drink must be kept in designated areas. It the responsilbity of the renter to clean up area at conclusion of rental.
8. A staff member will open the facility no earlier than 5 - 10 minutes prior to the start of you schedule rental time.

* Confetti/Glitter/Silly String are Prohibited in facilities *Use of tape not permitted to hang banners, posters, etc. on facility walls *Additional maintenance fees may be assessed if these products are used in the facilities.

RENTAL AGREEMENT

In consideration for rental of the Elyria Parks and Recreation Department recreation center, the renter agrees to abide by the rules and regulations as set forth by the Parks and Recreation Department. The renter will forever discharge the City of Elyria, Ohio its employees or agents, form any claims, action suits, in law or equity arising out of connection with any damages, loss or injury which they may suffer to their persons, or property, as a result of use of the recreation facility owned and operated by the City of Elyria. The renter will be held liable for any damages incurred to the property for the duration of this agreement.
